In: Our Journey

26 May 2009

5/26/09 to Present

Sailing down Grenada’s western shore, we welcomed the familiar sights of the small fishing villages, towns & lush, mountainous terrain.

We had decided to stop at Molinere Point to dive the Underwater Sculpture Garden. Although we have snorkeled at the Garden four times previously, we have never dove the site. As we approached Dragon Bay, we noted that 6 bright red dive moorings have been installed allowing boaters easy access while preventing damage to the sculptures by wayward anchors. Although the visibility was less than ideal, we had a great time diving the site finding all but one of the sculptures.

Once back aboard, we continued on towards St Georges where we anchored for the night.

We’ve spent about 2 weeks here visiting old haunts, seeing old friends, making new friends & preparing for our trip west towards the out islands of Venzeula, Bonaire & Curacao. We’re leaving tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday 6/9) heading for Los Testigos. We’ll update this site once we arrive in Bonaire.
