Passage from Kuna Yala to Bocas del Toro

In: Our Journey

28 Jun 2010

6/27/10 to 7/5/10

For the next nine days we enjoyed cruising along Panama’s northern coast, making overnight stops at Isla Linton, Portobello, the Rio Chagres, Euero & Escudo de Veraguas. We spent three days anchored on the Rio Chagres, exploring the small tributaries, fishing the mangrove lined shores & being serenaded by sounds of the jungle.

After departing the Chagres, we made brief stops at Euero & the island of Escudo de Veraguas arriving in Bocas late in the afternoon of July 5th. Overall, it was a nice passage with relatively good weather, albeit poor fishing. Oh well, there’s always tomorrow!
